First Two Days of Kindergarten

We had a blast during our first two days of kindergarten!!!!!!

Kindergarten August 2019

First Thursday Celebration!!!!!!

    

     C.E.S will have their First Thursday Celebration on August 29th.
Parents and family members are welcome to join us for the BBQ
and/or the afternoon celebration. If you would like to join your child
for the BBQ that day, the kindergartners will be eating from
11:00-11:30. The whole school celebration will be held in the
gymnasium at 1:30. All families are welcome to join us for lunch
(kid lunches are $3.00, adult lunches are $3.60) and then come back
at 1:30 for the celebration if you are able to.

Welcome to Mrs. E's Kindergarten blog. This blog is where you will find information about upcoming events as well as a description about what's going on in the classroom. Once school starts, please check this blog weekly. It will be updated every Friday. 

Kindergarten Orientation 

Tuesday, Aug 20th at 4:00

The children will meet their classmates while parents/guardians have an opportunity to learn more about C.E.S. and ask questions. The children will also take a 10 minute bus ride with C.E.S, staff while parents have the opportunity to ask further questions. Please come to orientation with information regarding your child’s after school arrangements.

Kindergarten Screening
Monday, Aug 26th & Tuesday, Aug 27th

If you have not scheduled a one hour visit for your child to participate in kindergarten assessments, please call the front office at 644-8821 ext. 100 by August 22nd. When you arrive at CES for your child's scheduled assessment appointment, please sign in at the office and then walk your child to his/her kindergarten classroom to be dropped off to participate independently in the assessments. These assessments are used to get a baseline on your child's academic skills in both literacy and math.

First Day of Kindergarten
Wednesday, Aug 28th

Your child will need a snack and a drink (no glass bottles or containers) each morning. We have a water fountain in the classroom if you prefer that your child drinks water at snack time. If your child is not buying the school lunch, please send them with a lunch and a drink. If you are purchasing lunch for your child, they will have a choice between the hot lunch, a sandwich or yogurt each day. Milk is included with the school lunches or can be purchased separately for those children that bring their lunch from home.
