Literacy
  • Write 10 muscle words and read them. Challenge: Write 3 sentences and
circle the muscle words in your sentences. The sentences do not have to be all on
one topic. Do you have at least 10 muscle words or do you have more than 10?


  • Read for at least 15 minutes and log it in the CES Reading Challenge. Read
from your reading bag, Raz Kids, Epic, books from home...

  • Say, stretch out, zap and write these words in your best “kid spelling” chip, chat, beach

Blue Whale? Share your answers with a family member. 

  • Check out the video of my problem solving #5  on the Mathematics page of the
blog. Now do one page in the math problem solving book.
  • Complete one page in the subtraction fact book
  • Play the card game of the day called Tenspeed

Writing

  • Let’s do some handwriting practice today. Let’s make sure we are all continuing to form our letters correctly. Check out the formation of words with tall, small and fall letters. 

  • We are working on informational writing today. Do you have your ‘hook’ done from Monday? First listen to Mrs. E read you an informational/nonfiction book. Today and tomorrow you will work on writing 3 facts about your topic.Watch Mrs. E’s example and then head off to do your own facts about your topic.
